Mobicents Sip Servlets 0.7 Released !

Here is our new release since we got Sip Servlets 1.1 certified about a month and a half ago which made us the first open source Sip Servlets 1.1 (JSR 289) container to be certified and as of now still the only open source one to be certified :-)

The focus of this release has been to get more production carrier grade features integrated into Mobicents Sip Servlets such as :

• Concurrency and Congestion Control,
• Mid Call Failover and Clustering Support for all kind of pure SIP Applications (Proxy, B2BUA, UAC, UAS),
• Seamless integration into JOPR and Embedded JOPR (JBoss Administration console), the JBoss Enterprise management solution
• Diameter support for charging in Technology Preview.
  

We also started to utilize the JBoss Seam framework so that it can now be used to enhance your sip servlets application and development experience : http://www.mobicents.org/mss-seam.html

Our Mobicents Sip Servlets implementation run on top of Apache Tomcat 6.0.14 and now on JBoss AS 4.2.3.GA and is shipped with Mobicents Media Server 1.0.0.CR3

The other highlights of this release are :

• Two new shiny examples :

a conference media server demo application built on GWT with server-push updates, see http://www.mobicents.org/conference-demo.html and vlad's blog post about it at http://vladimirralev.blogspot.com/2008/10/conference-demo-for-sip-servlets.html
a Diameter Event Charging service based on Location Service that performs call charging at a fixed-rate (event charging).
