Mobicents Sip Servlets 2.0.0.ALPHA2 and CDI Telco Framework 1.0.0.ALPHA1 released !

We are proud to announce our Mobicents Sip Servlets 2.0.0.ALPHA2 version , certified against the Sip Servlets 1.1 specification and working on top of Tomcat 7.0.8.

This release goes a step further in our march towards creating Mobicents Sip Servlets 2.0 by adding :

• CDI integration with our new framework : Converged CDI Telco Framework (CTF) . CTF mission statement is to simplify SipServlets development by introducing a component based programming model, ease of development by making available SIP utilities out of the box, and finally providing dependency injection and contextual lifecycle management to the SipServlets.
  
• Better Servlet 3.0 integration : Check out our Converged Click2Call Async Servlet 3.0 application that leverages the new Async (Server Push) features from the Servlet 3.0 specification integrated to the Sip Servlets specification

Again a BIG Thanks to Georges Vagenas who does it again and contribute this second ALPHA release along with the CDI Telco Framework that will allow you to create Converged SIP/HTTP Applications benefiting from the new HTTP Servlet 3.0 features such as Asynchronous Support and benefit from Java EE 6 with a better component based model for SIP Applications.

Mobicents Christmas present keep coming... Mobicents Sip Servlets 1.5.0.FINAL is out !

That's right, only one week after Mobicents Sip Servlets 2.0.0.ALPHA1 has been released, here comes Mobicents Sip Servlets 1.5.0.FINAL, certified against the Sip Servlets 1.1 specification and working on top of Tomcat 6.0.29 and JBoss AS 5.1.0.GA .

And because we don't want Santa Claus to loose any important calls, we crafted you a release focusing on High Availability improvements :

• Early Dialog Failover
• Long Lived SIP Calls Passivation
• N nodes clusters (domains) linear scalability
• Load Balancer support for Early Dialog Failover

The other highlights of this release are :

• Move to Mobicents Media Server 2.1.0.BETA1 with enhanced quality
• Move To Mobicents Diameter 1.3.3 with enhanced performance and Gx support
• 50 bug fixes

Mobicents Sip Servlets 2.0.0.ALPHA1 released !

We are proud to announce our Mobicents Sip Servlets 2.0.0.ALPHA1 version , certified against the Sip Servlets 1.1 specification and working on top of Tomcat 7.0.5.

This release is the first step in our march towards creating Mobicents Sip Servlets 2.0 whose goal will be Java EE 6 and CDI integration as well as integrating and evolving the SIP Servlets specification with the HTTP Servlets 3.0 specification.

You can play with it by trying the following examples .

Mobicents Sip Servlets 1.4.0.FINAL released !

We are proud to announce our Mobicents Sip Servlets 1.4.0.FINAL version , certified against the Sip Servlets 1.1 specification and working on top of Tomcat 6.0.29 and JBoss AS 5.1.0.GA .

This release has a mixed focus of Production usage improvements, SIP Presence integration and JSR 289 improvements :

• XCAP Support with a shiny new Presence Example showcasing integration with Mobicents SIP Presence Service
• Concurrency Control API for concurrent access to the SIP Sessions from unmanaged threads
• Pluggable Congestion Control at SIP Stack level
• Improved HTTP Convergence and Buddy Group support for the Load Balancer
• Single SIP Stack for the whole container
• Updated JAIN SIP Stack with better support for forking

The other highlights of this release are :

• Move to Apache Tomcat version 6.0.29 which brings the JRE Memory Leak Prevention Listener to Tomcat version of MSS.
• Move to Mobicents Media Server 2.0.0.GA
• Move To Mobicents Diameter 1.3.1 to be able to use HA features

I'm looking for consultants, freelancers in the US or Europe for Mobicents.
Ideally the profile would be to already know or use or contribute to Mobicents, have good knowledge about SIP (JAIN SIP and NIST SIP Stack is a plus) and know SIP Servlets, High Availability/Failover/ Load Balancing (about SIP and ideally HTTP as well).
JAIN SLEE, Media and Telco protocols knowledge is a plus.
Good English level required and be ready to travel.

We are proud to announce our Mobicents Sip Servlets 1.3.2 version , certified against the Sip Servlets 1.1 specification and working on top of Tomcat 6.0.20 and JBoss AS 5.1.0.GA .

This release is a bug fix and performance fix intermediate release. Here is the list of bug fixes included in this release
